Cement is a fine grey powder that acts as a binder in construction. When mixed with water, sand and aggregates, it hardens into a strong mass used in concrete, mortar and plaster. Cement helps hold bricks, stones and steel together, creating durable structures like foundations, beams and slabs.

Cement is mainly made from limestone, clay and other minerals. These raw materials are crushed, blended and heated in a kiln to form clinker, which is then ground with gypsum into fine cement powder. The specific composition gives cement its strength, setting time and compatibility with concrete mixes.

Cement boards are rigid panels made from cement and reinforcing fibers. They are used as durable backing boards for tiles, countertops and exterior facades. Because they resist moisture, termites and fire better than regular plywood, cement board is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, balconies and exterior cladding systems.
