Silken tofu is a type of tofu made from soy milk with a very soft, smooth, and creamy, custard-like texture due to being unpressed or minimally pressed, which retains a high water content. Unlike firm tofu, it doesn't hold its shape well, making it ideal for blending into creamy soups, sauces, desserts, smoothies, and as a base for vegan dips and cheesecakes. It can be found in both shelf-stable tetra packs or refrigerated containers and can be eaten raw.
