Clean the surface to remove dust, oil and loose particles. In a clean container, mix cement with clean water as per pack ratio to form a smooth, lump-free paste. Apply using trowel or suitable tool to the prepared surface. Level and finish as required. Allow proper curing with light moisture for several days.

Cement is mainly used as a binding material in construction to hold sand, gravel and other aggregates together. When mixed with water, it forms a paste that hardens into a strong, durable mass. It is essential for concrete, mortar, plastering, bricklaying and various repair works in buildings and infrastructure.

Cement is a fine binding powder, while concrete is a finished building material made from cement, sand, gravel and water. Cement acts as the glue that holds aggregates together in concrete. Without cement, concrete cannot form or gain strength, but cement alone is not used for large structural elements.

Cement generally begins to set within a few hours, depending on temperature, mix ratio and moisture. Initial set usually occurs within 30 minutes to a few hours, while final setting may take longer. However, cement-based concrete typically needs at least 7 days to gain most strength and 28 days for full design strength.

This cement provides a strong base for waterproofing when used correctly with proper mix ratios and good curing. For critical waterproofing areas like bathrooms, terraces and water tanks, it is often combined with recommended waterproofing compounds or coatings. Always follow application guidelines to achieve reliable water resistance and long-term protection.

Store cement bags in a dry, covered area away from moisture and direct contact with the floor. Place them on wooden pallets or raised platforms and keep them tightly sealed. Avoid stacking too high and use older bags first. Proper storage prevents lump formation, loss of strength and reduced performance during application.
