Aloo Jeera (Cumin Potatoes)
🧂 Ingredients:
3–4 medium-sized Agra potatoes (boiled & peeled)
1.5 tbsp ghee or oil
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
1–2 green chilies, slit
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves (for garnish)
1/2 tsp dry mango powder (amchur) or lemon juice (optional)
🔥 Instructions:
Boil and peel the Agra potatoes. Cut them into cubes.
Heat ghee/oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
Add green chilies and ginger (if using). Sauté for a few seconds.
Add turmeric and red chili powder. Mix quickly.
Add the cubed potatoes and salt. Toss gently to coat with the spices.
Cook on low heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes get a light crisp.
Turn off the heat. Add amchur powder or a few drops of lemon juice for a tangy kick.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
