Jalli means aggregation or collection of broken stones and usually used in making concrete for construction purposes. Kallu is the Kannada word for stone. So, here, jalli kallu means a single piece of stone constituting jalli. The starting rock is generally very hard matter such as granite or similar ignecious rocks.
